Terms & Conditions
STRATHMORE SCHOOL OF DANCE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
**1. Enrollment and Registration**
- Participants must complete the registration form and pay the applicable fees before attending classes.
- All information provided during registration must be accurate and current.
**2. Class Attendance**
- Participants are expected to attend classes regularly.
- Absences must be communicated in advance whenever possible.
- Missed classes due to personal reasons are not refundable or transferable.
**3. Code of Conduct**
- Participants must behave respectfully towards instructors, staff, and fellow students.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the class without refund.
**4. Health and Safety**
- Participants must inform instructors of any health conditions or injuries that may affect participation.
- Appropriate dance attire and footwear must be worn at all times during classes.
**5. Photography and Video**
- The school may take photos or videos during classes for promotional purposes.
- Participants or guardians must grant permission for such media to be used.
**6. Liability**
- Strathmore School of Dance is not responsible for any injuries sustained during classes, provided all safety protocols are followed. All staff hold up to date insurance and first aid.
**7. Privacy**
- Personal data collected during registration will be used solely for administrative purposes and will be handled in accordance with data protection laws.
**8. Amendments**
- The school reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any significant changes.
**9. Conditions for Monthly Payments**
1. Monthly Payments
All classes are payable monthly in advance. Payments must be made by the due date each month to secure the student’s place in their chosen class(es).
2. Cancellation Policy
One full month’s written notice is required to cancel your place at the dance school. Failure to provide this notice will result in the following month’s payment still being due in full.
3. Missed Classes
No refunds, credits, or make-up classes will be offered for classes missed by the student for any reason, including illness, holidays, or other commitments. It is the responsibility of the student/parent to attend scheduled classes.
4. Class Cancellations by the Dance School
In the event that the dance school must cancel a class — for example, due to staff sickness — an alternative class will be arranged.
- This may take the form of an additional class at the weekend or a combined class.
- These replacement sessions will ensure that all missed work is covered.
- No refunds will be issued for cancelled classes where a replacement opportunity is provided.
5. Alternative Class Arrangements
In certain situations, such as adverse weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, classes may be delivered via Zoom or another online platform.
In these circumstances, refunds will not be offered as the class content will still be provided in an alternative format.
6. General Terms
- By making monthly payments, you agree to these terms and conditions.
- The dance school reserves the right to make reasonable changes to class schedules, instructors, or timetables when necessary.
- All communications regarding cancellations, class changes, or notices must be submitted in writing (email is acceptable).
